Step One: The Core Value Index TM (CVI) Assessment Test

The CVI assessment test is a simple 36 module test that takes an average person less than 10 minutes to complete. The assessment test is completed over the internet and administered through a combination of emails and secure web pages.

The CVI is a core value assessment test based on this very simple concept outlined by the Taylor Protocols: The core values in an individual are adapted into a personal values system that causes decisions and judgments, which cause actions and behaviors, which cause results. By understanding an individuals core values, we can reliably predict their actions.

Each person who completes the CVI assessment test is given a score that quantifies their relative strength in each of four core values and relative strength in each of six subsequent personality types.

Step Two: The Retention Profile TM - Employee Profile

Most groups inside a company or organization, given time and widely accepted measurement techniques, can easily identify the existing top performing 20% of employees in a particular group. For retention, a secondary step is necessary. The organization must also roughly identify the existing bottom performing 20% of employees in the same group. The selected employees from both groups are given the CVI assessment test.

The results of the CVI for each employee are then compiled using the Taylor Protocols pattern matching algorithm. This patent pending algorithm develops a unique Retention Profile for the group.

This is not personality testing. The personality is a symptom of a person's organic core values. Unlike personality tests that have been proven unreliable for employee screening, the CVI has been proven statistically reliable, valid, and unbiased for this use. In addition, the assessment test can not be successfully manipulated in a "self-evaluative" manner to allow employees to tailor their responses to a particular job position. Step Three: Objectively Rank Employees

Once a Retention Profile is created for each group, this benchmark can be reliably used to create a performance gradation based upon how closely each member of the group resembles the top performers.

To create the performance gradation, the CVI is then given to the remaining members of the group. In turn, the results are tabulated and compared to the Retention Profile using the Taylor Protocols' pattern matching algorithm to place each employee in one of the following four categories:

A Players: Top Performers (20%)
B Players: Good Performers (30%)
C Players: Mediocre Performers (30%)
D Players: Poor Performers (20%)

Remember, this is not a snapshot of the group's current performance. It is an objective evaluation of how each member of the group compares to the top performing members on the basis of core values. This objective information combined with actual performance data gives the company a reliable and statistically valid way to make cuts in the group for the long term benefit of the company.
